Happy 30th Birthday, KBJS!!

On May 16, 2017, KBJS 90.3 FM will celebrate its 30th year of broadcasting. What began in a closet in a small East Texas town, God has used to spread His Word all over the world. In the last 30 years God has provided ALL of our needs. Some examples are:

signed on air for first time May 16, 1987 with a 199 ft tower
Antenna height increased to 1,166 ft
The transmitter burned down; God provided over $50,000.00
Antenna failure; God provided over $30,000.00
Began LIVE streaming over the Internet
MUCH needed, brand new studio equipment installed
NEW (state of the art) solid state transmitter installed in 2016

Praise the LORD for His provision!

To celebrate this milestone, KBJS will host an open house on May 16, 2017, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Please stop by to meet the staff, enjoy some light refreshments, and allow us to thank you personally for your faithful support. Please Pray About Our Needs

In early March a car struck a utility pole near our building, knocking KBJS off the air for almost an hour. Even though we have surge suppressors and uninterruptable power supplies the massive voltage spike got through. Some of our computer programs were damaged and satellite equipment for broadcasting the popular "Point of View" program was destroyed. This and other power related failures could potentially be avoided with a much needed broadcast-grade backup generator system. According to our engineering firm, the cost would be approximately $50,000 for our studio facility and another $50,000 for our transmitter and tower site for complete protection. Could you please pray about helping us to accomplish this?

We also have urgent needs this birthday year to catch up on our shortfall for January, February and March of $33,232.00.
